The Reptile Man has an extraordinary and outstanding array of snakes, lizards, turtles and tortoises that have won the rapt attention of enthralled audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest for 19 years. Presenting approximately 500 educational programs to over 20 thousand people annually, The Reptile Man leads the way in outstanding, top quality, professional wildlife education. Featuring 15-20 reptiles from diverse habitats at each presentation, these dynamic predators capture hearts of both young and old.

The Reptile Man founder, Richard Ritchey of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains has assembled a traveling collection of scaled predators that is unrivaled in quality and reputation. Richard Ritchey is a Herpetologist who brings unique insights, observations and humor to his exciting, riveting, live reptile shows.

Richard operates the organization from a private 1-acre farm in the Cascade Mountains of Colton, Oregon. All reptiles are housed, and cared for in a reptile house specifically designed for these ambassadors of the herpetological realm.

Richard Ritchey works with reptiles in a wide rage of sizes. From small snakes and lizards to the majestic 12 foot King Cobra. He is honored with 38 years of handling experience and has presented The Fascinating World of Reptiles to over a half a million people... up close and personal!

IT WAS SUCH A GREAT COMBANATION OF “OOOHS AND AAAHS WITH FASCINATING INFORMATION. IT WAS THE LARGEST CROWD WE EVER HAD FOR A SUMMER READING PROGRAM! PATRONS WERE POSITIVELY COMMENTING ON IT ALL DAY!

Dear Richard,

I just had to drop you a quick line and tell you how much we enjoyed your show at the kids’ party today.  Colin and Nathan had a GREAT time, and so did all of the kids and grown-ups, too!  You really do a wonderful job with your presentation.

We are really fortunate to have had you and all your friends visit us today.  All of the parents were really impressed!  One person said it was the best party she had ever been to.

It is really mesmerizing to watch you with all of the children paying rapt attention.  It is miraculous to see an adult tell 36 kids ages seven and under to go wash their hands . . . and then they all race off to do it!  The Reptile Man is magic.

Thank you so much for coming.  You made our party a smashing success, and we will always remember it.

Sincerely,

Anne Morris

You are awesome. My students really enjoyed your show at our school today. I hope you come back for years to come. Respectfully, Mr. Mejia and 5th

Thank you so much for your wonderful presentation at the Driftwood Library in Lincoln City, Oregon.  It is Wonderful - to have entertainers - as well as educators - that will come and give us their all.  The boys were thrilled with your presentation - and gave you a late night thought, as they drifted off to sleep - a marvel in their eyes and voice - saying - "That guy really seemed to enjoy what he did." I asked who "that guy was" and "what did he do" - to which they replied - "The Reptile Man! (In the voice that only children can give to ignorant parents) - He really liked laughing and scaring little girls and moms!".  Well.  Maybe so. My heart was a bit quickened at times - my head was nourished with information - and I was giggling at a few times that the boy's hands raised Bravely Up as you were on the opposite side of the room, and quickly snatched down as you got closer. :)

Thank you so much!

Again - Thank You OH!!! And thanks for throwing the snake skin at my son! That was marvelous!
